We are sad to announce that on August 6, 2025, at the age of 85, Barbara (Schmidt) Arcati of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene "Pete" Anthony Schmidt and Evelyn H. Schmidt (Heuer); her husband Thomas Salvatore Arcati; and her brothers, Peter Schmidt and William "Bill" Schmidt.
She is survived by: her sons, Peter Arcati (Dawn) of Dillsburg, PA and Thomas Arcati (Ann Marie Loguercio) of St. Paris, OH; her grandchildren, Thomas Arcati Jr., Phillip Arcati (Brandi), James Arcati, Deanna Arcati, Jessica Arcati and Anthony Arcati; her great grandchild Scarlett Cupps; and her daughter-in-law Janice Rheinheimer of Smyrna, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Buhrig Funeral and Cremation, LTD. (37 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church (400 E Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Open House (25 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A reception will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Green-Wood Cemetery (500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232).
