It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine E. Gontkovic of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred J. Martel and Muriel Martel (Burke); her husband Joseph "Jay" Gontkovic, Jr.; and her brother William J. Martel. She is survived by: her daughters, Nicole M. Ryan (Todd) of Dillsburg and Lisa M. Hoover of Camp Hill; her grandchildren, Katie Ryan, Joe Ryan and Cat Hoover; and her sisters, Patricia Miller (Jere) of Dillsburg, Maureen Ritter (Dick) of Dillsburg and Barbara LaCava (John) of Mechanicsburg.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Malpezzi Funeral Home (8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cathy's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
