We announce the death of Daniel Sumner Sim of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 76. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Robert Sim and Elizabeth Sim (Wetherell). He is survived by: his wife Gail Lynn Sim (Swinehart); his sons, Mathew Sim (Jessica) of Chincoteague Island and Christopher Sim of York Haven, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Jesse and Johnna Sim; and his siblings, Judy Yannone, Kathy Handiboe, Mary Louise Sim, Robert Sim, David Sim and Greg Sim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Buhrig Funeral and Cremation, LTD. (37 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 2:30 PM at the Open House (25 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055).
