He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Strong and Lillian G. Strong (Houser); his wife Shirley L. Strong (Singleton); his daughter April D. Strong; and his nephew James G. Strong.
He is survived by: his brother James E. Strong (Betty); his children, Pearl G. Smith (Karl) of Carlisle and Andrew C. Strong of Mechanicsburg; his granddaughters, Ella L. Strong and Evelyn G. Smith; and his nephews, Tom E. Strong (Kim) of Jefferson, GA and Michael A. Strong (Julie) of Cumming, GA..
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory (37 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Buhrig Funeral and Cremation, LTD. (37 E Main St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Rolling Green Cemetery (1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011).
