He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Daniel Mickiewicz and Mary Mickiewicz (Yatsko); and his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Kwak and Daniel Mickiewicz. He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Jerica Gee (Stanley) of Richmond, VA and Valerie Mickiewicz (Jason Niemeyer) of Ellicott City, MD; and his sister Maria Lewis (David) of Calgary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Joe was a good friend and my boss at usda oig. We had many good times together at work and he was a great guy. We shared a love of the beatles; joe gave me a print of a mural his friend painted of all of the beatles songs (or many of them) acted out. I was always asking him beatles trivia nd he knew every answer. Very sad. Our prayers to joe's family and friends.
