She was predeceased by: her father John Majireck; and her brother John "Sonny" Majireck. She is survived by: her husband Melvin "Mel" Raymond Strait, Jr.; her daughter Rebecca Strait-Firestone (David) of York; her grandchildren, Madison McCarron (Thomas) of Dover and Ian Firestone (Lizzy) of Tremont; her great grandchild Arawen; and her sister Joyce Collins (Glenn) of Charleroi. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
