With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert B. Buckbee of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald M. Naftzinger-Buckbee and Madeline Naftzinger-Buckbee; and his stepfather James E. "Jimmy" Balsbaugh. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Buckbee (Blair); his daughters, Susan Wilcox (Paul) of Martinsburg, WV and Ellen Jones (Roy) of Walkersville, MD; his grandchildren, Emily (Brandon), Margaret (Nicholas), Brendon and Garrett; his sister Marcia Buckbee Haley of Pittsburgh, PA.; his son Robert B. Buckbee, Jr.; his siblings, Donald "Marty" Buckbee, Jr. (late Barbara) and Ann Balsbaugh Gumberg; and his brother-in-law Haley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (130 Nittany Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Peter Lutheran Church (130 Nittany Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rolling Green Cemetery (1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011).
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
