He was predeceased by: his son Brandon Hook; his parents, Gorden Hook and Doris Hook (Palmer); and his siblings, June Countryman, Joanne Boscaino, Janice Hampton, Lynn Hook and Lorraine Clouser.

He is survived by: his wife Catharine Hook (Gill); his daughter Stephanie Hook; his grandchildren, Maddie of Garay, Lukas of Garay and Gabe of Garay; his daughter Megan Hook; his grandchildren, Jameson Dittman-Hook and Zoe Hook; his children, Catharine Speaker, Eli Smith, Ozzie Hook and Bodhi Hook; and his sisters, Sharon Bathurst and Ginny Alterio.
