She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Winslow and Mary Annette "Sammy" Winslow. She is survived by: her husband David Boardman; her daughters, Emily Boardman Ndulue (Uchenna) and Madeline Boardman (Scott Ritter); her grandchildren, Chinyelu Grace Ndulue and Emeka Will Ndulue; and her siblings, Mimi Winslow, Thomas and Charles Winslow.

In her mid-50s, Barbara was afflicted with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease, which ultimately took her life.
