He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Verica and Fay Verica (Haas); and his brother Anthony Verica. He is survived by: his children, Emily Piwonka (Nicholas) and Pasha Verica; his former wife Joan Verica (O'Donnell); and his siblings, Robert J. Verica Jr. (Patricia), Vanessa Stroup (Rick) and Mark Verica (Cristine). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Chris's memory to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (https://secure.ummsfoundation.org) at the University of Maryland.
