With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Hunter (Media, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Irene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Irene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lowell; and her parents, Ruth Binder and Howard Binder Sr.. She is survived by: her pet Ralphie; her son Gerald Murdock; her sister Barbara Marks; and her sister-in-law Mary Binder. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honor of Irene's lifelong devotion to animals, donations may be made to the Providence Animal Center in Media PA in her memory.
