John James Tait Obituary
We announce the death of John James Tait of Media, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 65. John James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Tait and Philomena Tait; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Sweeney; and his sister Barbara A. Brown. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. Tait; his sons, Sean E. Tait and Connor J. Tait (Jaclyn); his sisters, Noreen Ogden (John), Philomena Ruffo (Joseph) and Kelly Lalor (Martin); and his in-laws, Mary Theresa (James), Barbara Christian (Wolfgang) and William Sweeney (Susan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Philomena Church (41 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
