She was predeceased by: her mother Sri; her husband H. Y. Rajagopal; and her brother L. G. Amrutheshwara. She is survived by: her children, Madhavi Rizzio, Chetana Narasimha Jois (Rajagopal) and Sriram Rajagopal (Nidhi Gupta); her grandchildren, Nicholas Rizzio, Arjun Rajagopal and Nishanth Rajagopal; her siblings, L. G. Sumitra of Kamala, M. S, Veena Rao, Vasanthi Culleton and L. G. Jyothishwara; her uncle Sri Matighatta Krishnamurthy; and her sister Kamala M. S. Balu.
