He was predeceased by : his parents, William DeGroat and Margaret DeGroat (Peters); his former life partner Mary DeGroat (Fick); and his sisters, Carol Simone and Helen Rhoads.
He is survived by : his wife Josephine T. DeGroat (Corella); his children, Robert J. W. DeGroat and Nicole R. Horne; his grandchildren, Samual, Cooper and Rocco; his stepsons, Steven Rismiller, Christopher Rismiller and Mathew Rissmiller; and his siblings, William DeGroat, Jacqueline Lawrence and Anastasia Fick. He is also survived by three step-grandsons; two step great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's name may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
