With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Doris L. Szarek of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph P. Richards and Julia Chamberlain Richards; her daughter Cheryl Todd of Phillipsburg, NJ; and her granddaughters, Bianca and Samantha Todd.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Don Paul (Suzanne Todd) of Alpha, NJ, Joseph "Shane" (Chrissy Szarek) and Tracy Szarek of Auburn Center, PA; her grandson Daniel (Jennifer Todd) of Gallivant's Ferry, SC; her children, Travis Todd of Bend, OR, Amanda Todd of Phillipsburg, NJ, Andrew (Kira Hendricks) of Phillipsburg, NJ and Alicia Todd of Phillipsburg, NJ; and her great grandchildren, Timothy, Mikyla Todd, Savannah Kuhla, Rowen, Finley Hendricks, Matthew, Oliver and Benjamin Todd.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sheldon Funeral Home - Meshoppen (8206 Main St, Meshoppen, PA 18630). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
