He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Koontz and Ardyth Elaine Koontz Jr. (Wiltrout); and his sisters, Beverly Tressler and Barbara Evans (Richard) of Sarasota, FL. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
