James Weldon Durst Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2025, at the age of 70, James Weldon Durst of Meyersdale, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Durst and Elma Durst (Butler); and his brother Larry R. Durst. He is survived by: his wife Shelley R. Durst (Brown); his daughters, Shawna R. Lepley (David) and Amy N. Koposko (Matthew); his granddaughters, Allyson N. Lepley and Abbigal R. Lepley; his siblings, Vickie L. Burns (Kenneth), Joe (Joyce Brown), Harvey (Bobbie Brown), Mike (Romi Johnson), Garrett and Shawn (Becky Brown); and his pet Millie Doodle Durst. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (104 Union St, Salisbury, PA 15558).
