It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Benfer of Middleburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Rodney shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rodney farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his mother Irene C. Benfer (Weikel); and his parents-in-law, George J. and Irene E. Bickhart. He is survived by: his father Daniel I. Benfer Jr.; his daughter Nicole E. Pyle (Kenneth D. Schreffler Jr.); his grandchildren, Mason and Lily; and his siblings, Tommy (Sandy Benfer) and Ruby Maurer (Steve). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
