He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Purvis and Agnes Fletcher (Gibbon); his former wives, Harriet Wagner and Denise Purvis (Urban); and his siblings, Jack and Janet.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene G. Purvis; his children, Thomas C. Wagner (Patricia) of Altoona, PA, Zacariah W. Purvis (Alexis) of Harrisburg, Staci D. Wright of Middletown and Moriah E. Nickel (Henry) of Baltimore, MD; his siblings, Steve Purvis of Mechanicsburg, Nancy Miller (Don) of New Cumberland and Carol Hamilton (Bill) of Myerstown; and his grandsons, Justin Wright, Nathaniel Wright and Tristan Wagner.
