He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl Holmes and Nancy Jane (Blackburn). He is survived by: his children, Phillip K. Holmes (Annarosa Holmes), Brian Holmes, David L. Holmes, Jr. and Ashley Purcell; his brother Kenneth See; and his grandchildren, Savanna Holmes, Hayley Cahill and Charlee Holmes.
