He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Evans and Grayce Evans (Croop); and his brother Alson Evans. He is survived by: his wife Janet L. Evans (Seaman); his children, Michele A. Hoover (Dan) and Ronald R. Evans (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Heather Bloss, Dylan Hoover (Shelby), Allison Evans and Garret Culp. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
