She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Cooper and Verna Cooper (Stewart); her husband F. Lewis Young; and her sister Lora Hamrick. She is survived by: her children, Michael Young (Jennifer), Melissa Kane (Steven), Marcie Lucas (Jarrod), Jonathan Young (Rebecca), Virgilio Young, Shannon Rogan, Eric Young (Crystal) and Nancy Young; her grandchildren, Logan, Hailey, Jordyn, Mason, Dregen, Grace, Maddie and Mia; her great grandchild Melia; and her nephews, David and Mark Hamrick.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ursday Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (117 Blackhawk Rd, Beaver Falls, PA 15010). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ohioville Free Methodist Church (6464 Tuscarawas Rd, Midland, PA 15059).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to Ohioville Free Methodist Church.
