As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Violet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mendel Ankrom and Patricia Ann Ankrom (Coffee); her son Joze Wayne Compton; her sister Teresa Lynn "Aunt Cookie" Denny; and her aunt Mary Current.
She is survived by: her close friend David Groce of Midland, Pennsylvania; her daughter Wendy Adkins of Mooreland; her granddaughters, Bailey Nichole Jeffries and Erica Marie Rose Jeffries; and her sister Judy Ann "Aunt Chicky" Ankrom of New Castle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mooreland Community Building.
