He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert III and Mary Van Nest, III (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Van Nest (Napolitano); his children, Tina Chance, Lori Bodine (Charles) and Ronald Salsbury (Gianna); his brothers, Frank Van Nest and Richard Van Nest; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Sabrina, Brieana, Nicholas, Brooke, Grace and Michael.
