We are sad to announce that, on February 5, 2026, at the age of 76, Sylvester McCarthy of Mill Creek, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester McCarthy and Eleanor McCarthy (Miller); and his brothers, Kenneth "Beamer" McCarthy, Francis "Champ" McCarthy, James McCarthy and Daniel McCarthy.

He is survived by: his wife Donna McCarthy (Procina); his children, Michael McCarthy (Melissa) of Birdsboro, John McCarthy of San Diego, CA and Megan McCarthy (Kristen Kemp) of Birdsboro; his stepdaughter Melissa Green (Jason) of Annville; his grandchildren, Shea and Massimo; and his pet Beamer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sib's memory to the Schuylkill County Viet Nam Veterans Memorial, Inc. C/O William Higgins 219 Deerfield Drive, Pottsville, PA 17901.
