He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hirsch and Lillian James-Hirsch-Byerly; his former wife Alice Hammaker-Hirsch; his siblings, James Hirsch and Patricia Herb; and his stepsons, Robert Hammaker and Allan Hammaker.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gallagher-Hartman; his children, Holly Hirsch, Joseph Hirsch (Debbie) and Jamie Webster; his stepchildren, Charles Hammaker, Karen Fetterolf, Mary Hammaker, Pamela Simpson, John Hartman, Jr. (Amanda), Matthew Hartman (Jennifer), Mary Campbell (Ben), Benjamin Hartman (Felisha) and Gabrielle Reiley (Matt); and his siblings, Ronald Hirsch and Donna Zuber-Witmer. He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
