She was predeceased by: her parents, George Long and Elma Long (Bohner); her granddaughter Christy Rothermel; her brother Lamar Long; and her son-in-law Jack Shade Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Rothermel Jr. (Pamela), Cindy Shade, Steven Rothermel (Vicki), Cathy Snyder (Thomas) and Carol Horchler (Gary Zerbe); and her siblings, Huey Long and Marlene Strohecker. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
