Dorothy F. Benson Obituary

We bid farewell to Dorothy F. Benson of Millerstown, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore L. Howell and Margarette Howell (Stroup); her husband H. Wayne Benson; and her siblings, Anna R. Rapp, Mary J. Cree, Lloyd L. Howell, Harold L. Howell, Charlie E. Howell and Donald F. Howell.

She is survived by: her children, Judy L. Shields of Loysville, Mary L. Prosser (James) of Newport and Frank Benson of Millerstown; and her siblings, Robert W. Howell (Donna), Edward A. Howell (Jennie), Arletta M. Kauffman (Donald) and Ruth D. Lehman (John). She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Free Spring Church of the Brethren (670 Free Spring Church Rd, Mifflintown, PA 17059). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
