He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Eckert and Evelyn Eckert (Brady); and his brother-in-law John "Jack" V. Sauders. He is survived by: his wife Karen Eckert (Lapham); his children, Michael Eckert, Lance Eckert, Kenneth Eckert and Amy Thomas; his grandchildren, Nathan Eckert, Morgan Thomas, Dillon Thomas, Kullen Eckert, Mackenzie Eckert, Conner Eckert, Cody Eckert and Kaleb Eckert; and his sister Patti Sauders.
