With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Showalter (Millerton, Pennsylvania), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Walter left this world on October 9, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Showalter (Reyner) and James Showalter; his brother James Showalter; and his brother-in-law Gary Rumsey. He is survived by: his wife Juliet Ruth; his children, Cathleen Paciello (Steven), Elesha Smith (David), Jennifer Zimmermann (Nathaniel), Joshua Showalter (Rebecca) and Nathan Showalter (Brenda); his grandchildren, Shannon Guilmet (Kam), Rachelle Bushnell (Brian), Deron Biechele (Nicky), Camila Lynn (Matthew), Joel Smith, Megan Hyter (Matthew), Heather Colwell (Jake), Shawn Zimmermann, Cheyenne, Paul, Tucker, Zachary and Isabelle Showalter; his siblings, Dorian Rumsey and Curt Showalter; and his sister-in-law Judy Showalter. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Jackson Baptist Church (1714 Alder Run Rd, Millerton, PA 16936). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denny's honor to West Jackson Baptist Church.
