He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Smith (Schlitzer) and Lester Smith. He is survived by: his wife Maria Terese Smith (Walacavage); his children, Shannon Smith (David Schaeffer), Michael J. Smith Jr. and Matthew (Mere Smith); his grandchildren, Gavin, Savanna, Jameson Smith, Chevelle, Corvair and David Schaeffer Jr.; and his brother Edward Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc. (104 S 4th St, Minersville, PA 17954).
