It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Messner (Mohnton, Pennsylvania), who passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lott M. Yerger and Alice G. Yerger (Keller); her daughters, Mary Lou Godfrey, Alice Stern and Shirley Wright; and her siblings, William Yerger, Lott Yerger, Harvey Yerger, Dorothy Glase and Betty Eckenroth.
She is survived by: her children, Levi J. Godfrey of Birdsboro, Betty A. Jacobs of West Lawn, Norma Jean Greiss of Alburtis and Dorothy A. Leininger of Mohnton; and her brother Carl Yerger of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home (21 Chestnut St, Mohnton, PA 19540). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, Inc. (21 Chestnut St, Mohnton, PA 19540). A burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freidens Union Cemetery.
