He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Eager and Lillian Eager (Fryberger); and his siblings, Ruby, Mabel, Esther, Carol, Victor, Raymond, Charles and Bill.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Eager (William Baldwin) and Kelly Eager (Michael McKittrick); his grandchildren, James, Nathan Conard, Rachael and Cora McKittrick; his great grandchildren, Ivy, Elliott and William; his grandchildren, Sam, Justin and Chelsea; his sister Lillian "Polly" Messner of Sinking Spring; and his brother-in-law John Frankhouser of Reinholds.
