With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nira D. Persico of Monessen, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Nira left this world on October 4, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irwin Nesti and Mary Nesti (Kropchak); her husband John E. Persico; her daughters, Belinda Persico and Denise L. Persico; and her sons-in-law, Jeff Craze and Louis Vasquez.
She is survived by: her children, John Persico (Martha) of Jeannette, Dr. Jeffrey Persico (Julie) of Okemos, MI, Marlene Craze of Bethel Park, Brenda Veschio (B. J.) of Belle Vernon and Debbie Childs of Monessen; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Lauren, Shane, Bethany, Brianna, Brittany, Brandon, Racquel, Raynell and Cerria; her sister Patricia Jackson; and her brother-in-law Bishop Lawrence T. Persico. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. (441 Reed Ave, Monessen, PA 15062). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church (44 Pennsylvania Blvd, Monessen, PA 15062).
