She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin "Dutch" Harger and Cecelia Harger (Hurley) of Charleroi; her daughter Judith Creevey; her grandchildren, Mark Zenobi and Jennifer Oliver; her son-in-law Robert Creevey; and her siblings, Regina Lape, Eleanor Caruso, Marion Murray, Cecelia Lowe, Alvin "Buzzy" Harger, Dennis Harger and Glynn Harger.
She is survived by: her husband Norman L. Hammitt; her children, Alvin Hammitt of Belle Vernon, Paige Bruno (Roy) of Cape Coral, FL, Jan Pieri (Dan) of Dunlevy, Jill Zenobi (Darryll Lenhart) of Fallowfield, Marcy Karasek (John) of Rillton, PA, Michelle Federer (Brian) of West Newton, Bill Hammitt (Laura) of California, PA and Terri Matsick (Mike) of Belle Vernon; her brother Neil Harger (Betty Ann); and her sister-in-law Carol Harger of Monessen. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. (1415 Marion Ave, Monessen, PA 15062). A prayer was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar Epiphany of Our Lord Church (44 Pennsylvania Blvd, Monessen, PA 15062).
