He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Varega and Frances Smolinski Varega; his wife Dolores Shirley Varega; his son Dale Varega; and his siblings, John Varega, Mary Moreno, Pauleen Genes and Anne Makinen.
He is survived by: his daughter Claudia Marie; his children-in-law, Daniel White of Brownsville and Lynne Varega of Monongahela; and his grandson Caleb Varega. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations (626 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Parzynski Funeral Home - Belle Vernon (626 Broad Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012). A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at the Belle Vernon Cemetery (117 Allen Ave, Belle Vernon, PA 15012).
