He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel A. Umbaugh and Violet Kane Umbaugh; his wife Sherry Dawn Knepshield Umbaugh; and his siblings, Doris McMahon, Richard, Theodore and Clyde "Leroy" Umbaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Ann Umbaugh, James A. Umbaugh (Kristi) of Monongahela and Jason A. Umbaugh (Erin) of Ford City; his granddaughter Melinda McCarthy of Hyde Park; and his great grandchildren, Brayden and Hunter.
