He was predeceased by : his brother David R. Shipe. He is survived by : his siblings, Peter Joseph "P. J." Shipe of Brentwood and Katherine V. Shipe of Monroeville; and his grandparents, Thomas A. Kulikowski, John J., Rosemary O. Shipe and Dorothy A. Kulikowski. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
