He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Gardner; and his father Day. He is survived by: his children, Sue Ellen Scott, Samuel Miller (Anna Mae), Denny Gardner (Nancy), Jean Ross and Janice Tirrell; and his sister Mercedes Papinchak. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
