He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Smith and Thelma Smith (Blank); his daughter Ashley Cupp; his grandson Johnny Kirk, Jr.; and his brother Keith Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela R. Cupp; his children, Janet Bradley (Brad) of Delta Junction, AK, Gary "Denny" Smith, Jr. (Julie) of Brockport, Wendy Clouser-Pomeroy (Brian) of Montoursville and Christopher Cupp (Lori) of Rauchtown; his brother Ronnie Smith (Darinda) of Annville; and his pet Rosie. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Lycoming County SPCA 2805 Reach Rd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
