She was predeceased by: her parents, Seeley Walker and Eva Walker (Wilmot); her former husband Bruce O'Dell; her daughter Sandra O'Dell; her siblings, Virginia Briggs, George Walker and Richard Walker; and her son-in-law Ted Varady.
She is survived by: her husband Roger Root; her children, Vicky Varady of Whiteville, NC, Jeff O'Dell (Linda) of New Milford, PA, Bill O'Dell (Pat) of New Milford, PA, Lisa Mitchell (Ray) of Kingsley, PA, Don O'Dell (Deb) of New Milford, PA, Scott O'Dell (Julie) of New Milford, PA and Andy O'Dell (Angela) of Peoria, AZ; and her sisters, Phyllis Gregory (Glenn) of Montrose, PA and Debi Ford of Nicholson, PA. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
