He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Russell Kunkle and Mable Kunkle (Griffis); his siblings, Clifford Kunkle and Mildred LaRue; his daughter Sue Burch; and his son-in-law Gary Shultz.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Kunkle (Cole); his daughters, Judy Shultz, Eileen Jayne (Gary) and Bette VanWinkle (Rip); his grandchildren, Allen Shultz, Jeremy Jayne (Nikki), Alex Jayne (Katie), Ripper VanWinkle (Erin), Zach VanWinkle and Shannon Bowling; and his great grandchildren, Alisa, Connor, Liza, Hudson, Lyndon, Ryker, Briley, Kasey and Holly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home (232 S Main St, Montrose, PA 18801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
