He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bennie and Agnes Bennie (Coleman); and his siblings, Robert, Thomas, William Bennie, Ann, Mary, Joan Bennie, Agnes Loftus and Margaret Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Genevieve; his son Jimmy; his daughter-in-law Aubrey; his granddaughter Gabriella; his sister Mildred (Carl Cesare) of Moosic; his sisters-in-law, Joann Bennie and Mary Romanoski; and his nephew Eddie Loftus. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church (127 Stephenson St, Duryea, PA 18642). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to The Salvation Army, an organization he deeply admired.
