He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Dente, Sr. and Therese Dente (Ruddy); and his siblings, Anne Dillion, Carmen Dente, Sr., William Dillion and Kenneth Dillion.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Dente (Jones); his children, Joseph Dente III (Lisa) of Nazareth, PA, Maria Posluszny (Jason) of Moosic, Kenneth Dente (Stephanie) of Fort Worth, TX, Jena Sposto (Enrico) of Salado, TX and Angela McClure of Moosic; and his grandchildren, Joseph J. Dente IV, Emma Dente, Jason Posluszny, Connor Posluszny, Nicholas Posluszny, Sofia Posluszny, Zachary Dente, Tyler Dente, Enrico Sposto Jr., Vincenzo Sposto, Jaxon McClure and Jameson McClure. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
