He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Malishewsky and Helen Buzzinski; his grandson Robert Hegedus Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Louann Malishewsky. He is survived by: his wife Donna Malishewsky of Moosic; his sister Margaret Yanowski of Taylor; his children, Michael Malishewsky of Beaufort, NC and Jennifer Hegedus (Robert) of Scranton; and his grandchildren, Ella Grace Malishewsky, Lauren Elizabeth Hegedus, Caleb Michael Malishewsky and Gavin Andrew Hegedus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Semian Funeral Home (704 Union St, Taylor, PA 18517). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish (312 Davis St, Scranton, PA 18505). A committal service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Czestochowa Cemetery (3335 Greenwood Ave, Moosic, PA 18507).
