He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Dechert and Nora Dechert (Klahr); and his wife Joan L. Dechert. He is survived by: his children, Jeff A. Dechert of Mohton, Jill M. Dechert (Nathan Wolford) of Mohton and Joel L. Dechert (Carol A. Dechert) of Mohton; his grandson Chad A. Dechert; his great grandchild Emma Dechert; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Heckman and Megan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aiden, Riley and Everly; and his sister Arlene Morrissey of Newport News, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
