Edith M. Hechler Obituary
Edith M. Hechler, née Marrazzo, passed away on September 8, 2026, at her home in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. She was born on September 22, 1942, in Trenton, New Jersey, and remained a lifelong resident of the Trenton and Morrisville area.
Edith will be remembered as a woman who took great pride in her home and in the simple pleasures that brought joy to everyday life. She attended Junior 4 in Trenton. She enjoyed decorating her home, shopping, and going out dancing, and she especially loved trips to the beach at Seaside Heights. She was fond of watching game shows and Dancing With the Stars, and she enjoyed cooking and cleaning, keeping her home immaculate. Edith always had a positive attitude and enjoyed helping those in need. She was considered a mother to all and was extremely kind to animals. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were a cherished part of her life.
She is survived by her son, Robert Henry Gomola, and his wife, Ynez Gomola; her daughter, April Hechler, and her companion, Dan; her sister, Eleanor Ritter; her grandsons, Robert Gomola, Jr., Justin Hechler and Daniel Hechler; her granddaughter, Jasmine Hechler; and her great-granddaughter, Leilani. She will be deeply missed by several nieces and nephews, who carry forward the many memories of her love, warmth, and presence.
Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Gomola; her second husband, Richard Hechler; her daughter, Brenda Gomola; her father, Anthony Marrazzo; and her mother, Angelina Cannizzaro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, September 18, 2026 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. All are invited to gather anytime after 10 AM on Friday at the funeral chapel.
Her entombment will take place at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton Township, New Jersey 08610. Edith's memory will remain dear to all who knew and loved her.
