He was predeceased by: his parents, James Durkin and Winnifred Noone Durkin; his wife Judith L. "Judy" Durkin; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Kryeski, Winnifred Klee, Donna Boyd and Bernard Durkin.
He is survived by: his children, James (Janet) of Spring Brook Township and Sarah of Scranton; his grandchildren, Gavin and Laura Durkin; and his brother-in-law Jeff Cox. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moscow United Methodist Church (126 Church St, Moscow, PA 18444).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Pocono Food Pantry.
