John Brier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Brier (Moscow, Pennsylvania), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 26, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Ann Marie Brier (Ryan); his grandson Mitchell Sauter; and his sister-in-law Mildred Brier. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Brier (Calandra); his children, Mary Ann Thackrah (John), Martha Sauter (Anthony), Christine Brier (Doug Sanders), Kathleen Slater (Stephen), John Brier (Teresa), Lori DeSando (Michael) and Vincent Brier (Elaine); his siblings, Ann Marie Schank (Charles), James Brier, Kathleen Granahan (Dennis), Gerard Brier (Marie), Michael Brier (Patricia) and Rosemary Thyberg; and his grandchildren, Anthony Sauter, Nicole Sposito, Shelby Brier, Mary Ann Thackrah, John Thackrah, John Hunter Brier, Ryan Sauter, Colby DeSando, Katherine Thackrah, Jillian DeSando, Louis Sauter, Michael Brier, Emma DeSando and John Brier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
