She was predeceased by: her husband Emmett "Cy" Bird; her grandson John Carey; and her brothers, Willard, Robert, Rev. Arthur and Donald Davis.
She is survived by: her children, James Bird (Jill), Cindy Kinsey-Coleman and Sherry Carey (John); and her sister Romaine Ray. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
